Last Friday, the judges of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) asked the Zionist regime of Israel to stop its attacks on the southern Gaza city of Rafah and leave the area.

Stephane Dujarric, Spokesman of Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General said that the UN chief has asked Israel to comply with yesterday's ICJ order, as the decisions of the court based in The Hague, Netherlands have legal force and should be respected.

Dujarric added that Guterres will submit a notice of the ICJ's temporary order to the United Nations Security Council.

"The issue of the implementation or enforcement of the court order, the next thing for us is to continue with the efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip," the UN Secretary General's Spokesman emphasized.

Yesterday's decision by the ICJ increases the pressure on Israel, where the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, has already requested an arrest warrant for the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

The case was submitted to the ICJ by South Africa. The country yesterday Friday said it is monitoring to see how the UN Security Council will respond to the decision of the ICJ Court, to order the Israeli government to immediately stop its military attacks in Rafah, a city in the south of the Gaza Strip where it sent forces on May 6 .

The United Nations Under-Secretary General for Emergency and Humanitarian Affairs has welcomed the ruling of the International Court of Justice ICJ which directs the Zionist regime to immediately stop military operations in the city of Rafah in the South of Gaza.

Martin Griffiths, has welcomed the recent resolution of the Security Council of the United Nations (UN) to protect the workers of organizations involved in humanitarian issues, as well as the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to stop the operation of the army of the Zionist regime in the city of Rafah and the re-opening of the Rafah crossing and emphasized that the laws of war that everyone must follow must be respected.

Griffiths has explained that the military operation of the Zionist administration in Rafah is an unspeakable disaster and added that the ground operations of the administration have displaced more than eight hundred thousand Palestinians who had sought refuge in the city of Rafah in the south of Gaza by making them flee to places without shelter, water, food and health services.
The Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations has said, although the illegal regime of Israel has rejected the calls of the international community not to attack Rafah, but the protests made in every corner of the world to stop the attack immediately cannot be ignored.

The UN official has insisted on the re-opening of all land crossings to properly support the Gaza Strip.

The International Court of Justice based in The Hague, which is the highest judicial body of the United Nations, on Friday May 24 issued a judgment calling on the illegal Israeli regime to immediately stop military attacks against the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.

With 13 'yes' votes against 2 'no' votes, the court ordered an immediate halt to the military operations of the Zionist regime in Rafah and called for the reopening of the Rafah crossing for the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

Various countries and international and regional organizations have welcomed the judgment of the International Court of Justice ordering the cessation of attacks by the aggressive Israeli regime against Rafah, the re-opening of the crossing for the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, the guarantee of entry a fact-finding committee to determine the truth of the genocide in Gaza and submit a relevant report within one month from now.
Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) has emphasized that the judgment of The Hague Court regarding Israel's cessation of military operations in Rafah must be implemented and all parties should follow it.
