The United States has intensified repression against opponents of the Zionist regime and supporters of Palestine

In the same way, the United States is the main political supporter of Israel in the international arena where it has repeatedly used the veto in the Security Council to defend the brutal regime that is carrying out genocide in Gaza. But with that support, throughout the United States, especially in universities, there has been an increase in strong opposition against the criminal Zionist regime of Israel.

In recent protests against Washington's support for the Zionist regime by approving 26 billion US dollars in aid to the regime in the US House of Representatives and the US Senate, some opponents of aid to Israel have protest in front of the residence of the leader of the Democrats in the United States House of Representatives. The peaceful protest has turned into violence and violence after the police tried to disperse the protesters. In the riots, the police arrested many demonstrators who oppose the apartheid regime of Israel.

Students and lecturers of American universities in anti-Israel protests

It has now been more than 200 days since the start of the Gaza war and the endless crimes of the Zionist regime against the innocent people of Palestine with the financial, military and political support of the Biden administration. As a result of the crimes of Israel, American universities have become the ground of oppression of protesting students. Over the past seven months, large protests have taken place on American campuses to protest Israel's crimes in Gaza, particularly the genocide and the misuse of starvation as a weapon of war. In addition, the students want immediate steps to be taken to pressure the brutal Israeli regime to stop the war in Gaza immediately. The Biden government is very angry with the protest that exposes the crimes of Israel and on that basis it has taken measures to suppress the students and lecturers who participate in gatherings against Israel.

In this regard, the New York police announced on Tuesday that 133 students of New York University were arrested on suspicion of "disturbing the discipline and singing songs of threats and hatred against Jews."

Large demonstrations have also been held at Yale University, Columbia and other famous universities in the United States to show solidarity with the Palestinians of Gaza and condemn the crimes of the Zionist regime.

It is surprising that the politicians of the main Democratic and Republican parties oppose the student protests against the crimes of the Zionist regime of Israel.

Trump

In that context, the former President of the United States Donald Trump has told reporters while going to court for the sixth day of his trial in Manhattan, he claimed that the protest of American students against Israel is a shame.

At the level of American society, the tendency to criticize the Zionist regime and support the Palestinians has gained momentum. The results of the Wall Street Journal opinion poll, conducted from February 21 to 28, show that the majority of American citizens are not satisfied with Joe Biden's performance in the Gaza war and believe that the Zionist regime has used excessive force in response to Operation Al-Hurricane. Aqsa executed on October 7.

In addition, in another nationwide survey conducted at the end of January 2024 in the United States, it was found that half of Americans believe that the Zionist regime is committing genocide in Gaza against the Palestinians.
