There are only 13 Armenians left in Nagorno Karabakh

If by 2020 before the war, 150 thousand Armenians lived in Artsakh, but now there are only 13 Armenians left there. Nagorno-Karabakh ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan said this at the forum on "Azerbaijan's aggression against human rights and environmental protection" on November 14.
"That's what you need to know about Azerbaijan and the human rights agenda. All principles of human rights remain on paper and are not taken into account when making this or that political decision," he noted. Stepanyan added that the lack of sanctions against Azerbaijan and the neglect of its crimes led to ethnic cleansing of Artsakh Armenians.
In his assessment, there was no " Greta effect " in the case of Artsakh from the point of view that Azerbaijan was even encouraged in its crimes, as evidenced by the organization of COP29 in Baku after the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh.
"This is nothing but neglect of crimes, this is encouragement. The blockade of Lachine Corridor is one of the elements of ethnic cleansing. It is surprising that the world community turned a blind eye to the fact that the people of Artsakh were hungry, including children and the disabled.
Even in the case of the ICRC, we had to ask them to issue a statement. It means that something is wrong in the field of human rights," Stepanyan emphasized. It should be noted that the famous Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg also participated in the forum.
