The president of the main Islamic institution in the Netherlands says that hatred against Islam can be seen in all government institutions in the country. Muhsin Koktas, the head of the Communication Organization of Muslims and the Government (CMO) in the Netherlands said he was not surprised by the secret investigation about Muslims and Islamic institutions in the Netherlands, after the increase of hatred against Islam and racism in the Netherlands and Europe after 2010. Koktas said that it is not for nothing that the state of Muslims' lack of trust in the government has been increasing recently, and it seems that the government also has no trust in Muslims, and that is why they conducted this survey". Explaining that hatred against Islam and racism can be seen in all government institutions, Koktas said:

"While the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment is working to restore the faith of Muslims and hold discussions, on the other hand, the Minister of Law and Security, Dilan Yesilgoz, says there is no place for the hijab in police uniforms and so he has banned that garment. Racism in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the discrimination scandal in the Tax Department are just some of the incidents of racism and discrimination in many government institutions. " Koktas said that due to racism and discrimination in government institutions, Muslim trust in the government has fallen significantly.

In 2021, it was revealed that in the Netherlands municipalities conducted secret investigations into mosques and institutions owned by Muslims through private companies. It was reported that the research funded by the Dutch Security and Counter-Terrorism Agency (NCTV) was conducted through the private company NTA (Nuance door Training and Advies). It said that NTA staff conducting research in mosques identified themselves as Muslims who pray regularly or travelers from the country of foreign affairs, and during the investigation, they met with worshipers who remain in mosques without revealing their identities. Karien van Gennip, Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, said in a letter to the House of Representatives this week that it has been determined that the agency carried out unauthorized research on individuals, institutions and networks among Muslim communities. Van Gennip expressed his dismay about the secret surveillance of Muslims and Islamic institutions and said he had learned a lesson for the future.
