The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has announced in its statement that "about 7,000 Rohingya refugees" have been left homeless after the incident . The United Nations has said that 120 centers, including study centers, mosques and health centers have been destroyed or completely destroyed by the fire . The Muslims of the Rohingya community who have fled to Myanmar fleeing acts of oppression against them in their country in Myanmar carried out by Buddhists with extremist views have been living in very bad conditions in the refugee camps in the neighboring country of Bangladesh . The Myanmar government has denied the Muslims the right to citizenship of the country and recognizes them as an immigrant community from Bangladesh. This is in a situation where, history shows that, the presence of these Muslims in Myanmar in the Arakan area known today as Rakhine goes back hundreds of years. In addition, history shows that, the community has even had a royal rule in the area. However, the hard-line soldiers and Buddhists with the goal of looting the land, farms and houses of the Muslims, for almost a decade now, have intensified the killings and burning their lands and thus looting the property and possessions of the oppressed community.
