British think tank The High Pay Centre, pointing to the inequality of wages in Britain, writes that CEOs of British companies receive 118 times more than ordinary employees working full time. UK think tank High Pay Center announced last Tuesday that directors of many UK companies in 2022 and during the crisis were on average earning around £4m more, according to AAA. This is 118 times more than the salary of full-time employees. British company directors' salaries in 2021 were around 108 times that of full-time employees. Meanwhile, the British trade unions called this situation ridiculous and disproportionate. At the same time, the general secretary of the British Trades Union Congress, Paul Novak, said: "While the budgets of millions of families were reduced due to the cost of living crisis, the directors managed to achieve an unprecedented increase in wages."
