Ukrainian crisis, Putin: the balanced approach of African countries is good
Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his support for the approach set out by the African diplomatic delegation in relation to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.Russian President Vladimir Putin said he welcomes the adequate approach of African countries to the Ukrainian crisis.
The announcement on the matter following the meeting with the African delegation. Putin underlined that "Moscow is ready for a constructive dialogue for those who want peace, on the principles of equality and consideration of interests".
The peace initiative was promoted by the president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, by the president of Senegal, Macky Sall, by that of the Comoros, Othman Ghazali and by the president of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema. Also present with the delegation of African countries were Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, and representatives of Congo and Uganda.
The announcement of the diplomatic mission was made last May by South African President Ramaphosa.On this occasion, the Russian president expressed the hope that the Russia-Africa summit could identify new prospects for cooperation.
