During his visit to the border crossing of Rafah yesterday Saturday, Guterres emphasized the urgency of the Zionist regime of Israel to guarantee the access of humanitarian aid without limits throughout the Gaza area and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities for humanitarian reasons.

The UN Secretary General has said: "here from this ferry, we see the sadness and pain of it all. A long line of aid trucks blocked on one side of the gates and the long shadow of hunger on the other side. That is more than a tragedy. It is the anger of morally."

While on the trip to visit the Rafah crossing, Guterres has warned of the negative consequences of continuing to block aid, saying, "it is time to pour life-saving aid into Gaza. The choice is clear: either increase or starve."

The visit of the Secretary General of the UN is taking place in parallel with increasing international pressure on the Zionist administration of Israel to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, which is in danger of being hit by famine amid a severe shortage of food and water.

Before stopping at the border, where he met with the United Nations humanitarian aid workers, Guterres landed in Al Arish in northern Sinai in Egypt, where most of the international aid to Gaza is provided and stored.

The governor of the area, Mohamed Shusha, told Guterres that about 7,000 trucks were waiting in North Sinai to deliver aid to Gaza, but they have been blocked due to inspection procedures required by the Zionist regime of Israel.

At the same time, Philippe Lazzarini, the Head of the United Nations organization to serve Palestinian refugees UNRWA said, the Zionist administration of Israel has blocked the food convoy for the second time this week.

In a message he wrote on the X website, Lazzarini noted that the last time UNRWA was able to send aid to northern Gaza, where hunger is spreading, was two months ago.

The head of UNRWA emphasized by saying: "I have explained many times: this is a famine caused by man and it is a famine that is getting closer but it can be avoided".
