Four main suspects of the terrorist attack in Moscow have been arrested
The Kremlin, has announced the arrest of 11 people, including four who were directly involved in the attack that targeted a concert hall in Moscow last Friday, killing tens of people.
The Kremlin has said that the Federal Security Service is working to identify the party that collaborated with the terrorists who carried out the attack.
Russia's Investigative Committee announced earlier today, citing preliminary data, that at least 93 people were killed in the attack, and warned that the death toll could rise.
The committee has said that the suspects have been arrested in the Bryansk area of Russia, near the border of Ukraine.
The Russian Security Department has said that the suspects of the attack planned to cross the border and were communicating with other people on the Ukrainian side.
The TASS news agency has quoted the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Nikolai Patrushev, a prominent ally of President Vladimir Putin, as saying today that those responsible for the attack on a concert near Moscow will be punished.
Patrushev added that: "The attack has shown the extent of the terrorist threat to Russia."
Initially, the terrorist group Daesh (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack, and said in a statement sent on the Telegram network that its fighters attacked a large gathering outside the capital of Russia, Moscow, and that they have returned to their safe fortresses.
At the international level, the United Nations has expressed its dismay at the attack.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Nasser Kan'ani, has said that the barbaric attack in Russia has once again shown that terrorism and border crossing are a threat to the whole world.
A video circulating on the internet shows four people armed with automatic rifles shooting people who had gathered at a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow, minutes after an explosion and a huge fire spread in the hall.
