Zelensky: The situation in Donetsk is serious

According to the TRT news agency, quoted by Tass, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Monday acknowledged the deterioration of the country's situation in the battle with Russia. The President of Ukraine blamed Western countries for the current situation due to limited military aid to this country. Zelensky said that the situation on the war front is becoming more and more difficult. These days, he said, especially in the regions of Donetsk, the work has become even more difficult. Referring to the help of Western countries to the Zionist regime during Iran's missile and drone attack on occupied Palestine, he once again asked for more help from America and Western countries.

Recently, the Financial Times newspaper, citing informed sources, reported that amid increased Russian airstrikes, Ukraine has increased pressure on several European countries to acquire air defense systems. According to this source, this action was taken after other Western countries rejected Ukraine's request for such systems. Poland, Spain and Romania are the countries from which Ukraine wants to receive air defense systems. Zelensky on Thursday said: Every day they attack Ukraine and every day we hear that Ukraine will get new air defense systems.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview given to Bild on April 9 that he is skeptical about former US President Donald Trump's alleged peace plan for giving part of the occupied Ukrainian territories to Russia, Kyiv Independent writes.

The Washington Post reported on April 7, citing anonymous sources, that Trump has said privately that he could end Russia's war by pressuring Ukraine to cede Crimea and Donbass to Moscow.

Trump also said he believes both Moscow and Kiev "want to save face, want a way out," claiming that Ukrainians in Russian-occupied territories would not object to being part of Russia.

"If the agreement and the idea is simply to give our territories, then it is very primitive," Zelensky said.

The president of Ukraine also stressed that he would be happy to hear Trump's approach to end the war quickly, if the former US president "really has it."

"But we need strong arguments. We don't need a fantastic idea, but a real one. It is about human life; we can't joke and we can't take risks," the Ukrainian president added.
