UN: The lives of thousands of women in Gaza are at risk as Israel continues the war

The United Nations agency responsible for gender equality and women's empowerment says thousands of women face life-threatening health risks in the Gaza Strip, where more than 42,000 Palestinians have been killed as a result of the genocidal war waged by the brutal regime of Israel.

The United Nations organization known as UN Women said in its report on Sunday that more than 85 percent of health centers in the coastal area have been destroyed, disrupting medical services and challenging women to access essential health services .

The report also emphasized the need to meet the urgent needs of women and men in Gaza, such as cancer treatment, reproductive health services, and psychological support .

Israel launched its genocidal attack on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after Hamas carried out a historic operation against the brutal regime in retaliation for the regime's increasing atrocities against the Palestinian people .

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the Israeli Administration has so far killed at least 42,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and injured 97,303 others.

Israel has also been deliberately targeting schools, mosques and hospitals throughout the besieged Gaza Strip.
