The Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has said that the children of the Gaza Strip in Palestine need urgent medical attention.

Catherine Russell has said that two thousand five hundred Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip need emergency medical services and emphasized that some of these children are suffering from cancer.

Earlier, the United Nations organizations said that Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip are dying in pain due to the lack of emergency treatment due to the Zionist administration of Israel preventing them from going for treatment outside the besieged area after the Rafah crossing was closed.

Speaking about the situation, the Spokesperson of the United Nations Children's Organization, UNICEF, James Elder said, before nearly 300 children were transported every month for treatment, but now that number has decreased to less than one child per day.
