UNICEF report to the Security Council: The situation in the Gaza Strip is dire
The Executive Director of UNICEF has submitted a report to the United Nations Security Council about the terrible and inhumane conditions of children in the Gaza Strip, due to the barbaric attacks of the Zionist regime.
Catherine Russell, the executive director of UNICEF has said, after more than three weeks of continued crimes by the Zionist regime, the terrible statistics of the lives of thousands of children in Gaza have lost their lives or are in the worst conditions of war. According to "UNICEF" and according to the statistics of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 8,300 Palestinians have been martyred due to the attacks of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip. According to these statistics, more than 3,400 children have been killed so far, and more than 6,300 children were injured. Other reports state that more than 420 children are killed every day in Gaza due to Israeli airstrikes. At the same time, 2 million people are in dire need of drinking water while around 55% of the water infrastructure is also damaged and in need of urgent repairs. Figures reported by the charity Save the Children show that the number of children killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israel's ongoing occupation has exceeded the annual figures related to international conflicts over the past four years. Israel's brutal military offensive against Gaza, which began on October 7 in response to an operation by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, has killed more than 3,000 children, more than the annual number of children killed in the world's armed conflicts in each of the last four years, said the international organization.
