UNICEF: Western Regime, Media Seek to Normalize Killing of Children in Gaza, Lebanon
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) spokesperson criticized the international community's passive attitude towards the normalization of child killings in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder in a meeting with journalists in Geneva on Tuesday (11/19/2024) mentioned reports that most of the approximately 44,000 people killed in the 13-month war on Gaza were Gazan women and children. Therefore, the killing of children in Lebanon in secret is also acceptable.
James Elder touched on the martyrdom of more than 200 children in Lebanon in less than two months, and criticized the normalization of killings by the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon. "In this case, a disturbing pattern called normalization has been created," Elder said.
According to the Palestinian health authorities in the Gaza Strip, since the start of the Gaza Strip war on October 7, 2023, thousands of Palestinian children have been killed, and many face lifelong physical and mental injuries.
