The United Nations official was expected to present his report at the United Nations meeting showing how widespread violence against children is, and that technology facilitates crimes against young people more than ever before .
The report shows that more than 450 million children lived in conflict zones by the end of 2022, 40 percent of the 120 million people who fled their homes by the end of April were children, and 333 million children live in extreme poverty .
Acts of violence against children were reported to have increased significantly last year (2023) in areas witnessing war and conflict.
