The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNWRA) has said that more than 16,000 Palestinians who were forced to leave their homes are living in bad conditions at one of the organization's schools located in the city of Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNWRA) has said that more than 16,000 Palestinians who were forced to leave their homes are living in bad conditions at one of the organization's schools located in the city of Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip.
The statement released by UNRWA through the X social network stated that the Palestinian families live in classrooms, hall corridors and temporary shelters made of plastic.
The same UN organization has described the living conditions of those people in the school as bad due to the severe shortage of food, the very small number of toilets and few equipment for other needs.
UNRWA has also reported that in the last two days, more than 32,000 Palestinians have been forced to leave the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
The organization's statement continued to describe the dire situation the Palestinians are currently facing by saying: "families are looking for a safe place, but destruction and destruction are the only horizons they see in the Gaza Strip. There is no safe place due to constant attacks".
UNRWA added: "People have had to leave everything behind; their lives in danger every day".
The army of the Zionist regime of Israel launched its invasion and ground attack against the city of Rafah on May 6. An estimated 1.5 million internally displaced Palestinians have sought refuge there, with UNRWA reporting that more than 800,000 of them have already fled the city since the brutal attacks by the Zionist army began.
The important Rafah border crossing with Egypt has been closed since the Israeli army seized the Gaza side of the crossing immediately after launching its offensive against the city.
More than 36,240 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza so far, most of them women and children, and more than 81,777 others have been injured.
While more than eight months have passed since the Zionist regime started a brutal war and genocide against the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip, most of the areas of the Gaza Strip have turned into ruins while restrictions have been placed by the Zionist army on the delivery of food aid. clean water and medicine for the local people.
Israel has been accused in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the ongoing genocide in Gaza; and in its recent decision, the United Nations court has ordered the hostile regime to immediately stop its military operation in Rafah, but so far it has refused to do so.../
