US Imposes New Sanctions on Iran
The US Treasury Department announced that the Ministry's Office of Asset Control imposed sanctions on more than 20 Iranian individuals and institutions, due to their participation in a financial network linked to the Iranian Ministry of Defense and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Following the failure of the Zionist regime in dealing with Hamas movement fighters in the Gaza war and the exposure of Israel's ugly face in the eyes of the world, the United States, as Israel's most important supporter, is trying to heal the wounds of the Zionist regime by tightening sanctions against Palestinian supporters. The US Treasury Department said in a statement on Wednesday (29/11/2023) local time that Iran provides financial support to resistance groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. Brian Nelson, US Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, accused the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Ministry of Defense of participating in illegal financial schemes. US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said in a recent statement, "The United States will continue to work with its partners, including the UK, to disrupt Hamas' ability to receive financial assistance and use funds to carry out its actions." The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly warned about the consequences of Western interventionist behavior and stated that such actions will not go unpunished.
