US Worried About Worsening Situation on Lebanese Border
A spokesperson for the United States Department of State said the White House administration was concerned about the worsening situation on the Lebanese border.
A spokesperson for the US State Department, Wednesday (14/2/2024) evening announced that Hamas still has armed battalions in Rafah, but Israel must take steps to support civilians in this area. He added, "We are working to reach an agreement on the release of prisoners, and to realize a humanitarian pause so that greater humanitarian assistance can be permitted." The US State Department spokesperson further explained, "We are concerned about the worsening situation on the Lebanese border, and we believe the diplomatic process is the best option." Previously, the US Ambassador to Qatar, Timmy Davis, told Al Jazeera TV that Washington did not want the fighting to spread to Lebanon, and even Israel itself did not want it. Meanwhile, an affiliated institution of the Zionist Regime's Armed Forces, predicts that next year the number of injured Israeli soldiers will increase by around 20,000 people.
