USA and freedom of expression: 13 websites of the Lebanese resistance seized
The United States has shut down several websites administered by the popular Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah. It is a new outrageous US attack on foreign media. On Thursday, the US Department of Justice said it had seized 13 Lebanese domains of Hezbollah. Sites blocked include the personal site of Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, the main site of the Islamic Resistance Support Association, a charity used to raise funds and pay for its services in Lebanon, and sites owned by Al- Resistance movement Manar TV.Washington says it has obtained permission to seize other domains including manartv.net, manarnews.net and naimkassem.net.
