A group of women from different walks of Iranian society met with His Lordship Ayatollah Khamenei on Wednesday. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the issue of women is one of the strengths of Islam and this religion preaches strong logic and rational support in all areas related to women. Ayatollah Khamenei noted that women can play a role in electoral processes and emphasized: “The women of our society should try to follow the example of Fatima Zahra, peace and blessings be upon her, in matters of housekeeping, social and political activities, and in wisdom and knowledge.” . He added: "In my opinion, a Muslim woman cannot find a better role model than Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her)." Pointing out that the Western civilization and cultural system avoids discussing important issues of women, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution added: “Our women can, through the skillful use of art, literature and the virtual space, as well as by promoting the development of international centers related to women, promote solutions to pressing issues in this area." Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the horrifying official statistics of moral decay in the West, said: "Why is it that every issue that destroys the family takes on a prominent character in the West, but on the other hand, there is no condemnation or serious action against those who attack veiled women." . He cited more than ten achievements of women in various fields of science, literature, sports and art during the period of the Islamic Republic before the revolution and said: “Even though we have not yet been able to Islamize the country in the true sense of the word, significant achievements have already been achieved, and if Islam will be fully realized, these successes will only multiply."
