Xi Jinping: Chinese Army's Combat Readiness Must Be Strengthened
Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized strengthening his country's military to face the various threats facing it. According to a report by the Xinhua news agency on Monday (11/9/2023), Chinese President Xi Jinping, while visiting a military center in the northeast of the country, called for increasing the combat readiness of Chinese troops. Xi Jinping also emphasized the importance of strengthening the Communist Party, maintaining a high level of integrity and unity of the armed forces, and ensuring national stability and security.
The Chinese President's remarks come at a time of rising tensions in the South China Sea and around the Taiwan issue, and Western countries, including the United States, are seeking to create war between Taipei and Beijing. China has repeatedly warned America not to interfere in Taiwan's internal affairs. Beijing considers Taiwan an integral part of "One China" and responds firmly to any move that attempts to separate it from Beijing. Chinese officials have repeatedly warned against any provocative actions by foreign countries, especially the United States to encourage Taiwan to secede from China, would trigger a strong reaction from Beijing.(PH)
