Yemen announces attack on US tanker in the Red Sea
The Yemeni army announced that it had targeted an oil tanker and several US warships supporting the Palestinians in Gaza who have been under bombs for five months now.
The military spokesperson of Sanaa, led by the Ansarullah (Ansar Allah) movement, General Yahya Saree announced that "a military operation targeted the American tanker Torm Thor in the Gulf of Aden with several missiles". This was reported by ArabNEWS, quoting the Arabic-language broadcaster Al Masirah. “Some American warships in the Red Sea were targeted with several drones.” For its part, the United States Central Command (Centcom) states that the destroyer USS Mason shot down an anti-ship ballistic missile launched in the Gulf of Aden which probably had the oil tanker as its target.
