The Al-Aqsa complex's board of directors has warned of the significant steps taken by the Israeli occupation to destroy the Mosque, condemning international inaction towards Israeli violations. In a disclosed press statement, al-Aqsa board member Fakhri Abu Diab said that the Zionist regime was taking further steps towards changing the status quo of the mosque. “The Israeli occupation excavated the Al-Aqsa mosque to enforce its Judaization plans and obliterate its Islamic landmarks,” Abu Diab stressed.

For his part, Shaykh Najeh Bakirat, deputy head of the Islamic administration of Awqaf in occupied Jerusalem, said that the repeated raids by settlers on the al-Aqsa mosque and the violations against the holy place aim to take control of it and build a Jewish temple in its place. Meanwhile, the Jerusalem researcher, Jamal Amr, warned of the grave danger that threatens the Al-Aqsa mosque as the occupying regime intends to implement new plans for Judaization, adding that Israel forbids the restructuring and restoration of the sacred site. About 133 extremist Jewish settlers, protected by the Israeli police, broke into the Al-Aqsa mosque and visited its courtyards. Dozens of settlers stormed the area, through the al-Maghariba Gate, under heavy police protection.
