American journalist: America knows the cause of the Nord Stream explosion
American journalist Seymour Hersh told which of the US officials, in his opinion, was aware of the organization of sabotage at Nord Stream. He believes that a very small circle of people was privy to the incident. In particular, even US President Joe Biden was unlikely to have been particularly informed about the progress of sabotage planning, RT reports. The main actors were the director of the CIA and "people on the ground."Hersh stressed that the White House generally tries not to devote too much to the details. The CIA is different. They prefer not to draw too much attention to their activities.The Nord Stream gas pipelines were attacked on September 26, 2022. Germany, Denmark and Sweden admitted that there was a deliberate sabotage. At the same time, Russia was not allowed to participate in the investigation for a long time. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that what happened is an act of international terrorism, in which the "Anglo-Saxons" are involved.In February 2023, Seymour Hersh published an article describing the investigation into the explosions at the Nord Stream gas pipelines. In his material, the journalist indicated that the sabotage was carried out by the US intelligence services. After Hersh's publication, the West launched a disinformation campaign, blaming a certain pro-Ukrainian group for the attack.On March 24, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced the discovery of an unidentified cylindrical object near the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Copenhagen promised to raise the object from the bottom together with the pipeline operator. In turn, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stressed that Russia is positive about the decision of Denmark to invite Nord Stream 2 AG to take part in the operation to retrieve the item.On March 27, the UN Security Council rejected a Russian resolution condemning the Nord Stream terrorist attack and calling for the creation of an international commission to investigate it.
