America's reaction to the seizure of cargo worth more than 50 million dollars in Iran
In response to the seizure of American oil cargo worth more than $50 million by the Tehran International Relations Civil Court in favor of Iranian butterfly patients, the US State Department spokesman requested the immediate release of this cargo.
As reported by the CNN news agency, Matthew (Matt) Miller claimed the following in his meeting with journalists in Washington yesterday local time:
"Our sanctions have always made exceptions in the provision of humanitarian aid such as food, medicine, medical supplies and equipment, and agriculture. We cannot ensure the delivery of medicine to the Iranian people." "We never blocked it."
This senior official of the US State Department demanded the immediate release of the oil tanker “Advantage Suite” from Iran, claiming that this is the policy of all different US governments to impose anti-Iran sanctions.
In response to a question about the justification for the US seizure of ships carrying Iranian goods, a US State Department spokesman claimed:
"No items exempt from the embargo have been seized to date, and those seized were made in accordance with the laws of the United States."
The cargo of the ship was seized upon the order of the 55th Branch of the Tehran International Relations Civil Court yesterday regarding the seizure of the American oil cargo in the Persian Gulf.
