"Antonio Guterres" once again emphasized the ceasefire in Gaza
The United Nations Secretary-General once again emphasized the opening of fire in the Gaza Strip and stopping Israeli attacks.
"Antonio Guterres" told reporters yesterday (Friday) after the Zionist regime's brutal six-month war against the Gaza Strip, CBS news agency reported:
"I reiterate my urgent calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, the unconditional release of all hostages, the protection of civilians and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid."
Guterres said:
“Six months have passed since the Gaza war and we are on the verge of mass starvation, regional conflagration, a complete loss of faith in global standards and norms; it is time to step back from this abyss, lay down the weapons, end the terrible suffering. We must reduce and stop possible famine before it is too late.
The UN Secretary General said:
"The situation in Gaza is absolutely desperate and the critical humanitarian situation requires a major breakthrough in life-saving aid, thus reiterating the call for an urgent humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza."
The UN Secretary-General added:
"More than half of Gaza's population, more than a million people, face catastrophic hunger, while Gaza's children are dying today from water and food shortages."
Antonio Guterres also made the following reminder:
"Approximately 196 activists, including more than 175 UN staff, were killed in the Gaza war."
