Attacking Rafah; Israel's priority and ignored international demands

The town of Rafah bordering Egypt has a unique crossing that has been used by Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip as the only way to communicate with the outside world. After starting a new round of attacks by the Israeli army in Gaza (October 7) under the pretext of fighting Palestinian resistance groups, the area has now become an important home for almost half of the 1.2 million people of the Gaza Strip, who have fled to the area. narrow from other areas attacked by the Zionists. There are reports of the massive arrival of Israeli military forces in Rafah, with at least 45 Palestinians, mostly women and children, martyred and 250 others injured in a criminal Zionist attack on a refugee camp in the area on Sunday night. Although the attack has been criticized and condemned by many countries of the world and even the traditional European supporters of the regime, but the Tel Aviv administration's insistence on expanding the scope of the war to Rafah shows the identity of the criminal and brutality of the apartheid regime in developing genocide against Palestinians.

The Zionists are pursuing a plan to attack and completely destroy the city of Rafah in a situation that the International Court of Justice found on Friday ordered the immediate cessation of Israeli operations in the area and demanded the reopening of the Rafah crossing to enable humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. The Zionists' insistence on expanding the scope of war and crime in the city of Rafah is being implemented, while the regime's brutal attacks that have been continuing in other areas of Gaza for the past 8 months have not achieved anything other than causing genocide, destruction of infrastructure, violation of international law, bombing of aid organizations and starving the local people. According to the latest statistics, more than 36,000 Palestinians have been martyred and 81,000 others have been injured since the beginning of the mass killings of the Zionist regime against Palestinians on October 7, most of them women and children. The destruction of 80 percent of Gaza's houses and infrastructure is another achievement for the Zionists in this period.

This unprecedented genocide has been repeatedly condemned and condemned by international organizations and individuals, especially the Secretary General of the United Nations. Francesca Albans, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights on the Palestinian issue, recently expressed her dismay at the indifference of the Zionist regime regarding the consequences of the crimes it commits in Gaza and emphasized that the regime commits these crimes and clearly violates the laws of internationally with the support of some of the major powers in the world and especially the United States. In fact, apart from attacking different areas of Gaza with bombs and missiles, the Zionist regime is also using hunger and preventing the delivery of food and medicine to the area as a ploy to intensify the genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza. This is in a situation where the United Nations Security Council in its latest resolution has asked the Zionist administration to take necessary measures to ensure that basic aid reaches the Palestinians in the region. At the same time, the Zionist regime supported by the United States continues to attack the area while disrupting the delivery of international humanitarian aid in Gaza. Supporting the crimes of the Zionists and ignoring the oppression carried out by the regime against the Palestinians clearly confirms the duplicitous positions of the West regarding the Palestinian issue and their hypocrisy regarding the whole issue of human rights.
