Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei: Martyr Raisi, a Model of Governance for Governments and Officials
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution mentioned among the outstanding personal and work qualities of Martyr Raisi the incessant efforts to solve the problems of the masses, deep faith in internal possibilities, frankness in stating religious and revolutionary positions, tirelessness, absence of despair, respect for interaction and dignity in foreign policy, dedication to the implementation of great plans, humility, tolerance and spirituality, dhikr and tawassul.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution mentioned among the outstanding personal and work qualities of Martyr Raisi the incessant efforts to solve the problems of the masses, deep faith in internal possibilities, frankness in stating religious and revolutionary positions, tirelessness, absence of despair, respect for interaction and dignity in foreign policy, dedication to the implementation of great plans, humility, tolerance and spirituality, dhikr and tawassul.
On Sunday, Ayatollah Khamenei, in a meeting with the acting president and members of the 13th government, stressed: "As a model, Shahid Raisi showed that as the president of a country, one can have a set of intellectual, cordial and practical qualities and follow them in practice."
At this meeting, which was the last meeting of the members of the 13th government, His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei called the 13th government a government of "work, hope and movement" and said: "Martyr Raisi was truly full of hope and rightly optimistic about the future and had a firm resolve to achieve the goals he had set."
Explaining the outstanding features of Raisi, he called his friendliness towards the people a very important characteristic and a true role model for all officials and said: "Raisi respected the people and, being among the people, he touched the truth and needs and made solving the problems and meeting the needs of the masses the center of his plans and actions."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution cited deep faith in internal capabilities as another outstanding characteristic of Martyr Raisi and said: "Raisi believed deeply in internal capabilities and the ability to solve the country's problems."
Ayatollah Khamenei added: "The chief executive can possess a set of intellectual, spiritual and practical virtues and follow them in his sovereign and individual activities."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution also thanked the members of the government delegation for accompanying and cooperating with the martyred president and stated that this activity would not have been possible without the cooperation of all members of the government.
The helicopter carrying the 8th President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Ibrahim Raisi crashed in the mountains of Varzegan district in East Azerbaijan Province, northwestern Iran, on Sunday evening (19 May 2024) while returning from the opening ceremony of the Kizgalasi Dam to the city of Tabriz, killing President Seyed Ibrahim Raisi and his entourage, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian, Imam-Khatib of Tabriz Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Ali Al-Hashem, Governor of East Azerbaijan Province Malek Rahmati, as well as the presidential security team, pilots and the flight crew of the helicopter.
