The Prime Minister of Iraq instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs to contact the United States regarding this issue, taking into account the provisions of the bilateral strategic framework agreement and the commitment of the United States to the security and sovereignty of Iraq.
According to Sumaria News, the protest note addressed to the UN says: "The Iraqi government emphasizes its commitment to the country's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and will try to resolve the issue and prevent its airspace from being used to attack other countries, especially neighboring countries, as Baghdad has respectful relations and common interests with those countries."
The Iraqi government has stated that it follows the policy of maintaining stability in the region, preventing the use of its territory in regional conflicts and supporting the resolution of disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding.
