Belarus has begun a surprise inspection of non-strategic nuclear weapons

An unexpected inspection of non-strategic nuclear weapons carrying facilities has begun in Belarus, RIA Novosti reports, referring to the country's Ministry of Defense.

"According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus, a sudden inspection of non-strategic nuclear weapons carrying means is carried out in the armed forces," the message says.

Minister of Defense Viktor Khrenin clarified that the division of the "Iskander" operational-tactical complex and the squadron of Su-25 aircraft are being prepared for the implementation of assigned tasks.

The inspection will be carried out according to a strict schedule set by the Commander-in-Chief. The entire complex of measures will be checked, from the program to the preparation and implementation of strikes with tactical nuclear weapons.
