Breshit-jabner: The task of the British media is to calm minds and justify the Israeli genocide
According to Haim Bresheeth-zhabner, all British media are controlled by the Israeli lobby. They incite hatred against Palestinians by sharing unsubstantiated Israeli claims that are lies.
Professor Haim Bresheeth-zhabner is an Israeli Jewish academic who comes from a family of famous Holocaust survivors. He is a writer, film scholar and filmmaker, and a former Israeli army soldier.

- How effective is the Israeli media in fanning the flames of hatred?
- Israeli media portray Gazans as subhuman. They do not depict the suffering of Palestinians or recognize them as people. They clearly ignore the crimes being committed in the Gaza Strip. What they show is the heroic image of their soldiers. The Israeli army is effectively portrayed as a victim of war. The media proudly displays the bombing of buildings and soldiers. They don't show what Israeli soldiers do to Palestinians.
- How do you understand the position of the British media regarding their persistent condemnation of Hamas, on the one hand, and not condemnation of the Israeli genocide?
- I think the British media is terribly Islamophobic, imperialistic and blind. All English media are influenced by the Israeli lobby. They incite hatred against Palestinians by sharing unsubstantiated Israeli claims that are all false. Lies like “Massacre of babies, mass rape and burning of people alive...” and the list goes on. When their lies are exposed, the British media simply ignores them or deletes the lies completely, and without a single foreign journalist in Gaza, the British media has been a conduit for Israeli lies from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The British media promoted genocide as Israel's right to self-defense.
The British government is playing the Zionist card, as it did last year in 1917. The British Empire is committing another crime. Although selling weapons to a regime committing war crimes is illegal, it gives them the opportunity to sell more weapons.
-What do you think of Israel's claim that its actions are self-defense?
- We must know that the war did not start on October 7th. It began more than 125 years ago. The goal has always been the occupation of Palestine. Theodor (Benyamin-Ze'ev) Herzl, the founder of Zionism, proposed the idea of genocide in the 1890s as part of his plan to purge the people of Palestine. In 1948, the approach was to kill the inhabitants of one Palestinian village so that other villages would flee in fear. What is happening today in the Gaza Strip is a continuation of Herzl's plan to liberate Palestine from the Palestinians. However, we the people are now watching, and while we may not be considered important, we play an important role by gathering evidence for future trials and testifying about their war crimes. Something like what happened to the Nazis.
