Al-Jazeera Network reported, Majed Al-Ansari, Spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday (29/11/2023) said, "The Zionist Army and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced the extension of the ceasefire for one more day on Thursday, November 30". "Extensive efforts are being made to achieve a permanent ceasefire in Gaza," said a spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry. The Israeli army also announced that the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip would continue, due to mediators' efforts to continue the process of releasing the hostages and complying with the terms of the agreement. In the agreement, 30 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for the release of 10 Israeli hostages in Gaza, plus 2 Russian citizens and 3 Thai citizens. Hamas explained in a separate statement that the agreement to extend a temporary ceasefire that began last Friday was continuing, and reports indicated that the lull in clashes between the two sides would continue for another 24 hours. In this regard, Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas member, revealed that efforts are being made to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire in order to achieve a permanent ceasefire.​
