Cyber attack on Trump and Elon Musk interview

Elon Musk, owner of the X social media platform, said that the interview he conducted with US presidential candidate Donald Trump on this platform suffered a technical failure due to a cyber attack.

Musk wrote in a message on his X social media account on Tuesday, AP news agency reported:

"It appears that a massive denial of service (DDoS) attack is taking place."

Many users reported that they either could not get audio from the interview or did not have access to the program.

Trump's old Twitter account was blocked after his supporters attacked the US Capitol in January 2021. However, Musk opened Trump's account when he bought the social media site in 2022.

Musk has supported Trump’s run in the US presidential election. The Wall Street Journal reported last month (July) that Musk donated approximately $45 million to the Trump campaign.
