Ukraine attacks Europe's largest nuclear power plant

Ukraine attacked the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, known as the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. A fire broke out in the cooling section of the plant. Ukraine targeted the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in the plant's cooling system. Zaporizhia Regional Governor Yevgeniy Balitskiy provided information about the situation at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant in a written statement. Balitskiy, who stated that a fire broke out in the Zaporizhia plant's cooling system due to the attack carried out by Ukrainian forces with UAV and artillery fire, said, "There is no explosion or other danger in the 6 units in the plant in the cold shutdown state."

Balitskiy emphasized that the radiation level in the plant and the city where it is located is also at normal levels, and noted that efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing.
