The Wall Street Journal has reported that Egypt has refused to send weapons to Ukraine despite American pressure. According to the Wall Street Journal of the United States, Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense of the United States, in March of this year asked Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the President of Egypt, to help the Ukrainian army with artillery ammunition, anti-tank missiles, air defense and light weapons, but despite constant pressure from the United States, Egypt has not yet given a definitive answer to these requests. The Wall Street Journal also reported on August 11 that since March, Egypt has resisted US pressure to provide arms aid to the Ukrainian army.

Reports say, some members of the Egyptian cabinet announced in a private conversation that the issue of arms aid to Kiev is not on Cairo's agenda. Representatives of the American and Egyptian governments have refused to answer the questions of the Wall Street Journal writers about this issue. The President of the United States recently admitted that the stockpile of weapons that Washington intended to provide to Ukraine is about to run out. European and Western countries, especially the United States, are further fueling the fire of war and fighting in Ukraine by increasing the pressure of sanctions against the Russian Federation and sending various types of light and heavy weapons to the government of Kiev.
