Germany, Bundestag, the army "lacks everything" due to the Ukraine crisis
According to the commissioner for the armed forces of the Bundestag, Eva Högl, the German army lacks various armaments, but also radio equipment, and other equipment, because significant quantities of aid have been transferred to Ukraine. The German armed forces (Bundeswehr) "lack everything" and that makes it difficult to serve, the German parliament's defense commissioner told NTV on Monday. "This interferes with the theoretical and practical training of soldiers." Germany, like many other countries in Europe, is currently reviewing its defense policy following the launch of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. In March, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius acknowledged that the Bundeswehr would not be able to defend Germany under martial law due to a weak material base and insufficient personnel numbers.
