Great show of support for Palestine in Spain
Thousands of people, including representatives of Spain's leftist parties, gathered in the country's capital for one of the largest demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people. About 10,000 people protested against the actions of the Zionist regime on Monday in one of the largest demonstrations of support for the Palestinian people in Madrid, according to news agency Euronews. In Madrid, protesters chanted slogans such as “This is not war, this is genocide,” “You Zionists are terrorists,” “Where are human rights?” or “Palestine will win.” The protest was supported by left-wing parties such as Sumar and Podemos, which called on the government of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to act more decisively against the Israeli regime to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.
Podemos spokesman Isa Serra called for an end to the "collusion" with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while other left-wing leaders present at the rally also called for a "step forward" to be taken to stop Israeli bombing. Waving Palestinian flags and holding placards with slogans such as “Bombing children is not self-defense,” the young people who gathered denounced European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen's unquestioned support for the Zionist regime. Recently, about 400 people gathered in Barcelona (Catalonia) with the slogan “against apartheid and racial cleansing in Palestine.” 10 days have passed since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa. So far, 2,750 defenseless Palestinians have been martyred and another 9,700 injured. The number of West Bank martyrs has reached 58.
