Hungary insists on continuing cooperation with Rosatom
Hungary said no other company could replace Russian nuclear company Rosatom. Earlier, the Hungarian Foreign Minister said that the Paks nuclear power plant in this country runs on Russian nuclear fuel and Hungary does not support anything that violates their interests in the energy sector. According to RT on Monday, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Ciarto said Budapest is satisfied with the cooperation with the Russian company Rosatom and its subsidiary TVEL. Hungary is not looking for a new supplier of nuclear fuel for the Paks nuclear power plant, Peter Szijjarto also emphasized. The Hungarian Foreign Minister added: “The negotiations of other nuclear companies with the Hungarian authorities do not influence the decisions of this country, and Budapest makes decisions in this regard independently and based on its own interests.” Russian President Vladimir Putin also recently said that Rosatom is creating modern weapons and said that the goal of this approach is to maintain a strategic balance in the world.
