Imam Khamenei: Hezbollah is alive and growing

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution paid tribute to the martyr Seyed Hashem Safieddin, head of the Hezbollah Executive Council in Lebanon, and stressed that Hezbollah is alive and fulfilling its historical role.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized in a message addressed to the youth of the Resistance Front: “Today, Hezbollah is the strongest defender of Lebanon and the most reliable shield against the false aspirations of the Zionist regime, which has long aimed at the disintegration of Lebanon.”

The text of the message is as follows:

In the name of Allah the Merciful

Dear youth of the Resistance Front

, Sayyed, the courageous Mujahid and selfless fighter Sayyed Hashim Safieddin, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, has joined the ranks of the martyrs of the Resistance, and another bright star has adorned the sky of the holy jihad.

He was one of the most prominent figures of Hezbollah and a constant friend and comrade of Mr. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah, thanks to the tact and courage of leaders like him, was able to protect Lebanon from the danger of disintegration and neutralize the threat of the usurper regime, whose cruel and brutal paw sometimes even reached Beirut.

His courage and sacrifice, as well as the courage of other commanders and mujahideen, constituted the legacy of Nasrallah, who removed from Lebanon the danger of the occupation of the south of the Litani River, Tyre and other cities in this area and the annexation of these areas to occupied Palestine, and saved the lives, property and precious reputation of Hezbollah on the way to preserving the integrity of the country on the battlefield and defeating the aggressor, the criminal Zionist regime.

Today, leaders like Nasrallah and Safieddin are obviously not participating in this ecstasy, but their spirit and leadership are present on the ground and defending Lebanon and its defenseless people.

Even today, Hezbollah is Lebanon’s strongest defender and a shield against the greedy ambitions of the Zionist regime, which has long sought to divide Lebanon. The enemy is trying to deny Hezbollah’s selfless role for Lebanon. Lebanon’s supporters must not allow this false statement to come out of their mouths.

Hezbollah is alive, growing and playing its historical role. As always, the Islamic Republic will help the Quds Force and those who resist the occupation of the criminal group that has usurped Palestine, God willing.

I extend my congratulations and condolences on the martyrdom of our beloved Seyyed Hashem Safieddin to his dear family, relatives and comrades on all fronts of resistance.
