President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid has stated that Iraq is an independent country and that it has good relations with all countries, especially its neighbors; and the country implements its policies in accordance with national interests and the development of the Iraqi people.
President Jamal Rashid also participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos and presented a realistic picture of the state of affairs in Iraq and the Middle East in general.
He said that Iraq does not have a security problem and that the country's parliament decides on important issues of the country.
The Iraqi President has said that he is optimistic about the future of his country, and welcomes expanded cooperation with neighboring countries and the world at large to improve services for the Iraqi people and infrastructure.
