During a conversation with a Russian comedian posing as the leader of an African country, Georgia Meloni admitted that all parties were “very tired” of the conflict in Ukraine and she had ideas on how to get out of it. According to Rai news agency, Meloni’s office confirmed that the Italian Prime Minister was misled and on September 18 contacted “two Russian pranksters” by telephone. It is also reported that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico recently announced his intention to stop arms supplies to Ukraine under the pretext of war in that country. Opposing increased aid to Kyiv, he called Ukraine one of the most corrupt countries in the world. The war in Ukraine began in February 2022 and continues amid opposition from the United States and other Western supporters of Ukraine to establishing a ceasefire. Guns and ammunition companies, mostly American, are making large profits from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Twenty-one months have already passed since the start of Russia’s special operation against Ukraine. Although European countries have so far allocated tens of billions of dollars to Kyiv for military and financial assistance, they still admit they are tired of continuing this process.
