Macron's Hypocrisy Revealed: Unmasking the French Government's Complicity in Israeli crime in Gaza
In France, the handling of certain political developments has always generated controversy. The recent events in Palestine have further highlighted the divergent reactions among French politicians. As conflicts between Palestine and the Zionist regime escalate, the French government, disregarding the 75-year-old plight of the Palestinian nation, deems the Israeli regime justified in defending itself, even though the most barbarous means.
President Macron, going to great lengths, has thrown his support behind the Israeli atrocities in Gaza and pledges to facilitate a secure international environment for the Zionists to perpetrate further acts of carnage and massacre against Palestinian women and children. However, the stark divergence among French politicians regarding their stance on Israel is noteworthy.
Despite Macron's endorsement of the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime, several parties within the country have expressed vehement opposition to the French president's official policies and condemned Israel's appalling violence against Palestinian civilians.
These parties, mostly on the left political spectrum, have called on France to exert pressure for an immediate ceasefire between Zionists and the Palestinian resistance. Interestingly, although Hamas is designated as a terrorist group by the European Union, Jean-Luc Mélenchon and his party, La France Insoumise, in an official communiqué, refrained from branding Hamas as such. Instead, they referred to "Palestinian forces" and did not condemn the attacks on the occupied territories.
France, a self-proclaimed advocate for human rights and freedom of speech, has adopted a brazen approach to supporting Israel. This approach has reached a point where any expression of solidarity with the children of Gaza is legally prohibited, while endorsing the crimes committed by the Zionists has become an official directive to be obeyed by the government and the media. In this regard, the French Minister of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti, announced that anyone who gathers or expresses solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinian resistance will face a seven-year prison sentence.
Moreover, Dupond-Moretti emphasized that "anyone who encourages a positive outlook towards Hamas and Islamic Jihad Movement will be punished with five years in prison." This inhumane and hypocritical approach towards universal concepts such as human rights has been adopted by the French government, despite the French people's vocal support for the Palestinian cause and their participation in large-scale rallies condemning the Zionist regime.
While the French government considers support for Palestine as anti-Semitic and has criminalized it, it paradoxically claims to support freedom of speech when it comes to Islamophobic crimes. This contradictory stance has caused indignation among Muslims worldwide. Instead of condemning such actions, the French government has not only expressed support but has also vindicated its disgraceful position as a defense of freedom of speech.
Although Western political regimes, including France, have condoned the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the besieged Gaza Strip, sparing no effort to shield the Zionists from the ramifications of their occupation, it is clear that their actions will not lead to a desired end.
Ultimately, defeat for Israel will be inevitable, and the Élysée Palace will undoubtedly share in this defeat. The French government's unwavering support for the crimes committed by the occupying Israeli regime is now more closely scrutinized by global public opinion. It will undoubtedly become one of the most significant vulnerabilities for Macron and his coterie of corrupt politicians.
The Palestinian resistance will not only vanquish the Zionist regime but also reveal the duplicitous nature of those politicians who pave the way for the ongoing crimes of this despicable and illegitimate regime.
