Memorial mass for Shireen Abu Aqleh, journalist assassinated by Zionists

AL QUDS-A mass was held on Sunday to mark the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Palestinian-US Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh by the Zionist army. Infopal reported it.

The mass, organized by the late journalist's family, was held at the al-Liqaa Melkite Greek Catholic Church in the Beit Hanina neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem and was attended by her friends and colleagues.

Lina Abu Aqleh, granddaughter of the journalist, described the mass as "beautiful".“One year memorial mass for my dear aunt Shireen Abu Aqleh. It was a beautiful shoot,” Lina Abu Aqleh wrote on Twitter. “The priest said that Shireen exemplified the truth and was the voice of truth. May your memory be everlasting. I always miss you".

On May 11, 2022, Abu Aqleh was killed during an Israeli army assault on the northern West Bank city of Jenin.The health ministry said Abu Aqleh was shot in the head with a lethal bullet. She was rushed to hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
