Stoltenberg made those suspicions in an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag by saying: "China says it wants to maintain good relations with the West. However, at the same time, Beijing is fomenting war in Europe. You cannot have it both ways." .
Stoltenberg emphasized what he described as China's important contribution in supporting Russia in the Ukraine conflict.
The Secretary General of NATO has noted that there is a clear increase in the sale of spare parts for machines, small electronic devices and other technologies that Moscow uses to create missiles, tanks and aircraft in the war against Ukraine.
Stoltenberg has reiterated that there is no plan to send NATO troops to Ukraine or to extend the alliance's air defense umbrella to Ukraine, confirming again that NATO will not be part of the conflict.
In addition, he urged NATO member countries to provide more aid to Ukraine, saying: "it is not too late for Ukraine to win. We need to send more weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, including air defense systems and long-range weapons".
In the interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, the Secretary General of NATO spoke about the President Vladimir Putin of Russia by saying: "if Putin gets what he wants in Ukraine, there will be no permanent security in Europe, and the world in general will become more unstable".
