Netanyahu appoints a "racist" as Israel's new consul general in New York

The Israeli regime has appointed an extremist Knesset member, one who prides himself on being a "racist" as its consul general in New York, raising concerns among the US city's Jewish community. A number of former Israeli and American diplomats as well as leaders of American Jewish communities have condemned May Golan's appointment as an "insult" to the United States. The Guardian newspaper writes it. "Golan's appointment is outrageous as he is a racist and divisive figure, which is the exact opposite of what Israel needs in such a critical place," the former Israeli diplomats said, emphasizing to be "shocked" by Prime Minister Netanyahu's move.
