Bangladesh has been the scene of unrest for several days after a temporary lull, with hundreds of student protesters and political activists attacking supporters of the country's resigned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Bangladeshi protesters attacked Sheikh Hasina's supporters with iron bars and sticks, preventing them from entering the former home of her father, Sheikh Mujib Al Rahman, which is now a museum in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
The other day was the anniversary of Sheikh Mujib Al Rahman's assassination and Hasina, who fled to India, asked her fans to honour the day and declare national mourning to remember her father.
Previously, August 15 was a public holiday in Bangladesh and was declared a national day of mourning by the Hasina government. However, the interim government of Bangladesh cancelled the holiday.
Bangladesh has been the scene of public protests since July 1, in which at least 409 people have been killed.
