The OCHA report says that civilians in Sudan are trapped in the indescribable cruelty caused by the fighting while the epidemic of hunger and disease is mixed with the disaster.

A senior official of the United Nations office, Clementine Nkweta-Salami, has told reporters in New York that terrible atrocities are being committed against innocent citizens.

Earlier this month, the United Nations Food Program warned the warring parties in Sudan that there is a high risk of death due to hunger in Darfur and other parts of the country, if they do not allow aid to reach the entire western region. the country.

 

Various United Nations reports show that a large number of Sudanese citizens are facing severe food shortages along with a lack of peace and security.

For several months now, the Democratic Forces of Sudan led by the former prime minister of the country, Abdullah Hamdok, have been consulting with the two main enemies, namely the army SAF and the Rapid Support Forces RSF to convince the two parties to sit at the negotiating table and to resolve their differences, but so far this has failed.
