Palestine demands practical action by the world community against statements by the Israeli finance minister

Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki has urged countries that recently condemned statements by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to also take practical measures against the occupation.
"The world should not only condemn the statements made by Bezalel Smotrich, the radical Zionist finance minister," al-Maliki said in Ramallah on Sunday. "The settlers' attacks and their crimes did not start in Huwara and do not originate in the last few days, but their crimes, killings, destructions in Palestine are continuous," he added. After every crime committed by the Zionists, the Palestinians shout loudly for the world to stop and condemn them, but receive no response, al-Maliki said. It is therefore necessary not only to condemn Smotrich's statements, but also to condemn and criminalize the Zionist occupation, said the Foreign Minister of the Palestinian Authority. The Zionist finance minister recently called for the Palestinian town of Huwara in the West Bank to be wiped out. Smotrich, who is also responsible for building settlements in the West Bank, said at a conference of the business newspaper The Marker: "I think Huwara has to be wiped out."
