Palestinian resistance: anti-Zionist operations increase
Despite the vicious daily Israeli invasions of Palestinian towns and villages there has recently been a sharp increase in the number of Palestinian armed retaliatory operations against Israeli soldiers. Since the beginning of this year alone, Israeli special troops as well as settlers have killed over 100 Palestinians.
But the rise of armed resistance emerging from the occupied West Bank has also become a serious dilemma for Israel. Reports indicate that “60% of the Israeli army” and all of its battalions, military divisions and tanks are in the West Bank, yet they cannot provide security for their soldiers.
Israeli analysts themselves have pointed out that much of the Israeli military is currently deployed in the West Bank on "security missions", noting that this "comes at the expense of training". in a separate statement, Islamic Jihad said that "the blood of these martyrs will intensify the armed struggle against the occupying Israeli regime," adding that Palestinians are determined to continue their path with great sacrifices.
The secretary general of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, in a speech at a memorial service for the martyrs of Jenin and its refugee camp, warned that "the resistance brigades in the West Bank will fight the occupation until it is expelled" .
Last year, the al-Quds Brigades bombed large areas of Tel Aviv and central cities in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as all the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip, with large barrages of rockets in a three-day battle started by the Zionist regime.
Al-Nakhalah said the time has come to put aside any little differences as he calls for a united front of the Resistance "so that the sound of bullets and the voice of the Palestinian people fill the horizon." He stressed the need for all Palestinian forces to be on a level of responsibility and equal to the ambition of the Palestinian people, their sacrifices and their will to fight, stressing that this issue will be done by bypassing partisanship. He added how "the martyrs made the Jenin and Nablus camps an icon of the Resistance".
