Thousands of French citizens have protested against organized racism and police brutality in the country by holding demonstrations in the streets of Paris and other French cities. Racism has become a serious problem for Europeans. The spread of racial discrimination in several European countries, including France, Great Britain and Germany, has intensified social discontent in recent months. These problems, together with intensifying economic problems and political dissatisfaction, have faced a serious crisis in some European countries such as France. New incidents occurred in Paris, on the occasion of the event organized annually by the "Truth for Adama" committee,... a young man of African origin who died on 19 July 2016, on his 24th birthday, while he was in a state of stopped at the entrance to a police station.

The demonstration had not been authorized by the prefecture and the security forces thus intervened to forcibly disperse the approximately two thousand demonstrators. Some journalists were beaten by the agents, as denounced by the opposition parliamentarians present: Mathilde Panot, group leader of "Indomitable France" in the National Assembly, the deputies Eric Coquerel and Louis Boyard, of the same party, and the ecologist Sandrine Rousseau . Assa Traoré, sister of the young Adama, was reported for seditious gathering and her brother Youssouf was questioned and reported for violence against a public official.
